Inverell must be awarded the credit of first establishing a roll of honor ...
Our large brass framed Honor Roll was designed by architect, Herbert E. Ross, and has a Royal Coat of Arms at the top with the inscription ...
To our comrades of the Inverell District who participated in the Great War 1914-1918.
It was dedicated by NSW Governor Strickland in August 1916 and kept at the Town Hall until 1958 when it was moved to the front of the Memorial Swimming Pool where it now faces the Cenotaph.
Note: Honor is spelt as it was in 1915
