Following the arrival of The Kurrajong men at Moree on 13 January 1916, they marched to the showground where sports events were conducted during the afternoon prior to a recruiting meeting held at night.
Like Inverell, Moree had already farewelled a large number of men, however another eighteen men helped swell the ranks and departed for Narrabri camp the next day.
These men were:- Arthur Donald Boyd, Arthur Byrne, Hendricus Josephus Collier, Samuel Murdoch Corsie, Charles Herbert Dean, Bernard Justin Enright, William Bede Enright, John Guilfoyle, J. Hewston, H. Hooke, William Frederick Jarvis, Walter John Kellett, Henry Lewis, J. Nicholson, George Lawrence Stanton, Edward Arthur Teitzel, Arthur Alexander Williams, and George Percy Williams.
Do you know any relatives of these men? We would like them to join with us for our re-enacement march to be held at Inverell on 10 January 2016. Photos and stories of these men would also be appreciated by our committee.
Who will you march for on 10 January 2016?
