SENIOR/SEINOR, George

George was born at Tucka Tucka in the Yetman district, north of Inverell in 1870. He was a forty-three-year-old married man with several children when he enlisted at Inverell in September 1915.

He became a Private in the 31st Battalion, 3rd Reinforcement and sailed from Australia on the ship HMAT A70 Ballarat in February 1916. He was wounded in action in France in July and sent to England for treatment in hospital. The following year he returned to Australia on the hospital transport ship Runic. Shortly afterwards he was medically discharged.

George died at Newcastle NSW in 1950 and was buried at Sandgate Cemetery.
